Sean Scott
VP & GM, Consumer Shopping
Sean is the Vice President, General Manager of Consumer Shopping at Google.
Sean comes to Google from PagerDuty, where he was the Chief Product Development Officer, leading product management, engineering, design, and pricing for the full devops/SRE product suite which is used by over 70% of the Fortune 100. Prior to PagerDuty, Sean rose through the ranks at Amazon where he spent 15 years, starting as a TPM and becoming VP of Shopping Experience Technology, where he was responsible for the Amazon home page, product pages, cart, and checkout worldwide, as well as the platforms to build these experiences across web and mobile. Then, as VP of Autonomous Delivery, he built and scaled a team of robotics, hardware, software, and manufacturing experts to operate Amazon’s first fully-electric AI based, autonomous delivery robots. Prior to Amazon, he held positions at a number of enterprise software companies, and began his career as a developer for the Department of Defense building network intrusion detection systems and modeling integrated air defense systems.
Sean has 39 patents, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A. from the Red McCombs School of Business (University of Texas), is a member of the University of Texas’s Computer Science Advisory Council and was named as an AdWeek Top 50 executive.
He lives in Seattle, is married with three children and enjoys cycling (even races), snow skiing and traveling the world.
