Jamillah Davis Hernandez is currently the Vice President/DMM of Men’s Footwear and Accessories at Saks Fifth Avenue. During her 20+ years with Saks Fifth Avenue, Jamillah has held positions that include: Buyer of Handbags, Buyer of Designer RTW & Buyer of Contemporary Collections and NY Store Director. Jamillah has been responsible for driving sales in addition to developing strategies that have led to positive results over the span of her career. During her time at Saks’, she also held the position of Adjunct Professor at LIM College where she taught Introduction to Buying.

Prior to working at Saks, Jamillah held positions with Macy’s in store management and started her career in wholesale.  She sits on the Executive Board of Black in Fashion Council and the Board of BRAG. She was recently appointed to the FIT School of Business Advisory Board.

Jamillah is known for her ability to drive business to unprecedented targets. She has a reputation amongst her peers for being a strong merchant with an innovative taste level. This has made her a respected partner and leader within the luxury designer vendor community. She continues to develop her team to become the merchants of the future while using elements and strategies of the past.
