Danielle Lay is a Partner at NEA and joined the firm in 2017. Based in New York, she is focused on consumer social and commerce infrastructure companies. She is an active investor, board director or board observer of transformative companies such as Block, Burrow, Enigma, Fizz, Formlabs, Goody, Harper Wilde, Pair Eyewear, Patreon and Prime Financial Technologies. She previously worked with The Wing (acquired), Framebridge (acquired) and Desktop Metal (NYSE: DM). Danielle is also a member of NEA’s Asia investing team and was involved with NEA’s investments in Gravel, Super and Zuoyebang. In 2021, Danielle was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Venture Capital. Prior to joining NEA, she was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs covering financial technology and payments businesses such as Bridgewater, FIS, Fiserv, Nasdaq, and Trupanion. She graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Economics, Business Institutions and Chinese.
