Alexis Hoopes is Vice President of E-commerce for Mattel. She joined Mattel in 2020. In her role, Ms. Hoopes is responsible for driving forward Mattel’s global direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy, deepening Mattel’s connection with consumers, and growing consumer loyalty for Mattel’s brands.

Ms. Hoopes spearheaded the launch of two new digital platforms, MattelCreations.com and Shop.Mattel.com, which serve and engage existing segments of shoppers, from personal collectors to consumers shopping for kids, as well as new audiences.

Ms. Hoopes has over a decade of experience as a retail executive and has a proven track record of developing and leading successful e-commerce, strategy, financial, and merchandise planning teams.

Prior to joining Mattel, Ms. Hoopes spent 14 years at Nordstrom, most recently serving as Vice President, Inventory Planning and Transformation. During her time at Nordstrom, Ms. Hoopes launched and scaled multiple e-commerce businesses, and led the merchandising strategy and execution of strategic growth initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Hoopes was a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting and spent a year as a Fulbright Fellow in Mexico City with United Way.

Ms. Hoopes received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Whitman College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
