Bill Ready is Chief Executive Officer of Pinterest, the visual discovery platform people around the world use to shop products personalized to their taste, find ideas and discover the most inspiring creators. Bill leads a global team dedicated to building an inspiring corner on the internet for the hundreds of millions of people, creators and businesses who come to Pinterest.

An entrepreneur and tech veteran, Bill has spent more than a decade growing some of the world’s most well-known businesses. Prior to Pinterest, Bill served as President of Google’s commerce business, which included shopping, travel, AR experiences and Lens, along with the company’s payments and Next Billion Users efforts. He led a number of strategic shifts to make Google a great place for all merchants to connect with customers in new ways and help consumers find more of what they love.

Before Google, Bill was PayPal’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for product, technology and engineering. Bill joined PayPal with the acquisition of Venmo and Braintree in 2013, where, as CEO, he and his team fueled the mobile commerce revolution by building one of the most innovative and influential startups in the payments industry.

Previously, Bill was executive in residence at Accel Partners, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital and growth equity firm. He also led several successful startups and worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading financial technology companies.

Bill holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was an honors recipient and a bachelor’s degree in information systems and finance from the University of Louisville.
