Joe Stratter is the Executive Director of Technology at Nuuly, the women’s clothing rental subscription brand by Urban Outfitters, Inc. (URBN). With over 20 years of experience, Joe is a dynamic technology leader who has helped lead digital organizations, implement enterprise retail solutions and build custom software platforms. Joe spent 14 years supporting URBN’s core brands, including Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie and Free People, before joining the founding team for Nuuly in 2018 ahead of its 2019 launch. There he led the team of product managers, user experience designers and data scientists who built the company’s rental platform from scratch, which included designing a custom warehouse and order management solution. For nearly five years, Joe and his team have designed, implemented and optimized a best-in-class, custom platform that has helped drive the success of URBN’s dynamic rental
business. Joe is a firm believer that technology is meant to enable great business ideas and that having a team of individuals who share an equal passion for technology and business is key to building incredible products and customer experiences.
