Louisa Freeman is the Head of Business Development at Returnity Innovations, the pioneer in the elimination of single use shipping packaging. Returnity builds out solutions and empowers the systems necessary for companies to shift to the new circular economy.

She received her degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan, with minors in Sustainability & German. It was there that her journey in environmental sustainability began as President of Michigan Student-Athletes for Sustainability, where she fostered a culture of sustainability in the student-athlete body and reduced food waste for all athletic teams by an average of 46%.

Before joining Returnity, Louisa worked as a marketing & communications consultant for Environmental Defense Fund, where she managed the Supply Chain Solutions Center (SCSC) Zero-Waste pillar, which emphasizes food and packaging waste. During her time as a government affairs & sustainability intern for JetBlue Airways, she was an integral part of the implementation and dissemination of the airline’s long-term environmental and sustainability programs. In addition, she has experience in NGOs, energy efficiency and carbon offsetting management.

As Head of Business Development, Louisa utilizes her unique skillset to manage the needs of Returnity’s roster of clients and empowers more companies to adopt innovative new packaging models as we shift to the new circular economy.
