Heather Kang is global vice president of Digital Demand for Mars Wrigley, maker of the world’s most beloved brands including M&M’S ®, Snickers ®, Skittles ® and Orbit®. In her role, Heather leads a talented team responsible for building new digital capabilities in portfolio, supply advanced data and analytics, search, content and media.
With more than 20 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, Heather has a proven track record of leading business transformation, inspiring innovative teams and delivering sustainable business results. Heather joined Mars as a marketing director in 2007. She has since held US and global marketing and sales leadership roles across innovation, strategy, portfolio, customer leadership and most recently digital commerce.
Previous to her current role, Heather served as global vice president of Digital Commerce from May 2015 – April 2018. Heather’s team focused on enabling Mars Wrigley to build capabilities to accelerate growth with online retailers. Under her leadership, Mars Wrigley Digital Commerce grew 30%+ annually, contributing more than 1/3 of Mars Wrigley growth and scaled from 3 to 18 markets. Mars Wrigley’s center of excellence supported market acceleration to build out capability including setting global strategy, strategic customer planning, perfect digital store, portfolio fit for digital, profitability management, supply chain innovation and talent planning.
Heather began her career at Price Waterhouse, followed by sales & marketing leadership roles with Campbell Soup Company and McCormick & Company. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University and Bachelor of Science in accounting from University of Richmond. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Heather is based in New Jersey with her husband Steve and two sons who love to travel, discover and celebrate life with family and friends. She can often be found on the sideline of baseball games, talent shows, Lego competitions & Nerf battles.
