Markus Pfruender is leading the journey on data-driven-Marketing at Metronom, the digital- and tech-unit for Metro Wholesale, the global Food Wholesaler. He and his team help Metros businesses to transform their customer communication towards digitalization, personalization and customer experience.

Markus is a leading European expert in Marketing, CRM and data-driven business models. As a leader he focusses on lean management, agile methodologies and puts a strong emphasis on work culture.

Prior to Metronom Markus has been working on the business side of Metro Wholesale in various executive customer roles. Earlier in his career he was leading the CRM unit at BBDO Germany, a leading agency network. Furthermore he held customer oriented roles at IBM and Unilever.
