Showpo CEO and Founder Jane Lu has grown the online fashion brand for women by leveraging her own
position as an influencer and by using social media marketing to drive sales. Jane launched the company
out of her parents’ garage in Sydney in 2010 to outfit “the party girl,” and has since expanded beyond
festival wear and dresses to multiple categories including work attire, activewear and swim, footwear and
beauty. Jane has built Showpo into a $60 million business with 3.5 million followers across social media
platforms. The brand sells to 80 countries, with 30% of its customer base in the US and employs a team of
90 in Australia. Known for her candor and self-deprecating sense of humor, Jane’s authenticity and
honesty particularly resonate with millennial shoppers.
Prior to launching Showpo, Jane gained financial and operational expertise while serving as an analyst at
Ernst & Young (EY) and as an accountant at KPMG. Long a champion of entrepreneurship and women in
business, in 2015 she launched a worldwide network that connects, encourages and supports female
entrepreneurs. The network has grown to more than 80,000 members and has many chapters across
Jane has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list and Business Insider’s Coolest 100 People in
Australian Tech list. In addition, she has won several awards, including the Online Retail Industry Awards’
Online Retailer of the Year, the Women in International Business award and the Entrepreneur of the Year
award from Cosmopolitan Australia.
Born in Beijing and reared in Sydney, Jane is fluent in Chinese and English. She holds a Bachelor of
Commerce in Finance and Accounting from the University of New South Wales in Australia and completed
an exchange program in Finance and Accounting at Lund University in Sweden.
