Jan Wilmking (38) is Senior Vice President Private Labels at Zalando since 2013. As CEO and Managing Director he is responsible for the business activities of 17 international Private Labels under the roof of zLabels – a subsidiary of Zalando SE. He jointly leads the company together with Dr. Christian Baier. zLabels is a multi brand fashion company seated in Berlin and develops international fashion brands such as mint&berry, Zign, Anna Field and even&odd.
After a dual course of study at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Jan Wilmking studied Social and Business Communications at the University of Arts in Berlin ("Universität der Künste Berlin“). During his studies, Jan was employed by the advertising agency McCann-Erickson as a Strategic Planner.
Following his university studies, the CEO of zLabels completed the McKinsey Fellow Program and then went on to Harvard Business School in Boston in the US where he finished off his education with a Master of Business Administration.
Before joining zLabels, Jan Wilmking counseled clients from the consumer goods and retail sector at McKinsey & Company and worked for Rocket Internet, accounting for projects for fashion and e-commerce portfolio companies.
Besides his native language German, the "Berliner by choice“ is fluent in English and Spanish. He is married and has two children. Jan has a great passion for art and likes to spend his free time working on drawings and large format pictures.
