VP Sales

Key Responsibilities

As a VP Sales, you will:

  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets on portfolio of events
  • Lead a team on targeted accounted management in portfolio of events (both digital and
    in-person)
  • Collaborate closely with VP Commercial on sales strategies
  • Create and communicate accurate and up-to-date reporting on teams’ progress through
    Salesforce and other reporting tools
  • Work closely with other departments (Operations and Finance) on necessary execution of the
    events
  • Use insights to make informed decisions on outreach tactics to our customers
  • Collaborate and work closely on managing and building relationships within key house accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries quickly and prioritize activities with customers during all phases
    of the sales cycle
  • Oversee customer experience from prospect through event execution
  • Stay informed on industry trends and engage with the larger retail tech industry

Skills & Experiences

To be successful in this role, you must have/be:

  • 8-10 years of relevant business development experience in events, tradeshows, or conferences
    with 3+ years of experience in sales management.
  • Passionate for customers and developing new business
  • Consistently willing to go the extra mile for your team and for the customers-- “good enough” is
    definitely not enough!
  • Measured, realistic, honest, motivating, collaborative
  • Ability to close sales (and motivate others to close sales) within a deadline driven environment
  • Proven record of negotiation/sales in reaching sales targets across multiple products
  • Computer skills: proficient in MS office/GSuite with specific Excel skills
  • Understanding of key CRM (preferably Salesforce)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented- understanding that the details matter
  • Agile and ability to multi-task- everyday is not the same and have the ability to pivot and
    prioritize different projects
  • Have the ability to manage time and resources optimally
  • Smart and a quick learner who is comfortable in a fast-paced, high growth, entrepreneurial
    environment
