Springboard Retail is a cloud POS and retail management platform designed by retailers, for retailers.
The software was developed due to the struggle Springboard Retail’s founders encountered while searching for a flexible, data-centric POS system to power their retail enterprise - one that they loved to use. Today, growing a multi-channel retail business is complex, that’s why Springboard Retail was built – to give retailers tools they need to thrive now and well into the future.
It began in 2002, Gordon Russell’s Boston-based chain of specialty retail stores had a problem. He needed a POS system that would be comprehensive enough to manage his current business, while also driving growth. Gordon tried plenty of available retail systems, but none of them provided the intuitive yet flexible structure his retail teams needed to succeed.
Gordon and co-founder Jay Stotz put their heads together. They focused on developing a modern, cloud-based point of sale system designed to support a growing multi-channel, multi-site retail enterprise with features that brought clarity and resilience for the future. Reporting was key. With hundreds of data points, they ensured that their POS was able to combine relevant data in any way the retailer envisions. Every business is different, they wanted to ensure that the software was responsive, agile and easy-to-use. In fact, the results of their efforts were so successful that the team had to share it with other retailers and Springboard Retail was born.
Since the official launch in early 2014, Springboard Retail has helped its customers grow across their locations and channels processing over $400M of retail sales at hundreds of sites across the United States. The team continues to focus on providing exceptional value to their customers and invests in their customer’s success personally – because they’ve been there!
