After experiencing her own cringeworthy bra fitting experience, Michelle Lam founded True&Co. to change the way women shop for bras. As CEO and Co-Founder of True & Co, Lam is revolutionizing the way lingerie is fitted, designed and engineered, offering an unmatched lingerie experience highlighted by a modern aesthetic and a truly personalized fit.
Lam developed a simple, quick quiz that since its introduction, has collected 130 million data points from 5 million quiz takers, data that True&Co. uses to improve apparel design and fit. While the industry has been focused on only using a woman’s band and cup size to determine the best fit, Lam layered on a new dimension – breast shape. This drives the True&Co. online and retail shopping experiences where each woman receives recommendations in her personal shop on the best fitting bras for her specific breast shape.
Prior to founding True&Co., Lam was the first female investor at Bain Capital Ventures where she invested in and worked with multiple startups including LinkedIn and RentTheRunway. Lam previously had tenures at Microsoft, the Boston Consulting Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
