Galyn is the Co-Founder of Primary, a children's clothing brand focused on delivering simple, high-quality, affordable styles that are easy to replenish.
Prior to launching Primary in 2015, Galyn was VP, Retail at Quidsi (acquired by Amazon), where she met her co-founder, Christina Carbonell. They had a lot in common, including a passion for simplicity and a nagging feeling that shopping for their kids clothes felt too hard. In their mother's day, if you couldn't find what you were looking for, you made it yourself. So that is what they did. They stripped out the logos, slogans and fussy embellishments in favor of awesome colors and the softest fabrics they could find, with all styles priced under $25. Last year, they were named among Fast Company's Most Creative People for "making it easy to dress your kids."
Prior to Primary and Quidsi, Galyn held various strategy, marketing and finance roles at Cole Haan, Kraft Foods, The Walt Disney Company and Morgan Stanley. Galyn is a graduate of Princeton University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and twin daughters.
