Mr. Peter Faricy has served as Vice President of the Amazon Marketplace since 2009. Mr. Faricy is responsible for millions of third-party Sellers worldwide across 11 global marketplaces, with a focus on innovation to deliver the best results for customers and Sellers. His teams own the end-to-end experience for Sellers from recruitment to support and builds and manages the technology and product features that enable growth for the businesses selling on Amazon. Since 2009, the Amazon Marketplace has grown from approximately 30 percent of the total units sold on Amazon to approximately 50 percent.
Previously, as Vice President of Music and Movies from 2006-2009, Mr. Faricy managed the ongoing success of Amazon’s music and movie product categories for North America. In this role, Mr. Faricy oversaw the end-to-end strategy for the category, including the customer experience and vendor management.
Prior to joining Amazon, Mr. Faricy served in leadership roles at Borders Group, Ford Motor Co. and McKinsey & Co. Mr. Faricy holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan and a BA in Business Administration from Michigan State University. He is currently serving as Director, Dean’s Advisory Board for the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and Director, President Campaign Committee, Michigan State University.
