Ken Fenyo is a senior executive and advisor at companies ranging from start ups to the Fortune 100. He has deep expertise in loyalty programs, digital marketing, personalized marketing, customer insights & analytics, and e-commerce in the retail, consumer goods, media, and high tech industries.
Ken is currently Head of Consumer Markets for McKinsey Fast Growth, which serves leading venture and private equity backed growth-stage companies and their investors. The Fast Growth practice provides a range of approaches tailored to fit growth stage companies and includes teams based in the Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, London, Israel, India, and China.
Prior to McKinsey, Ken was Founder & CEO of Rethink Retail, a boutique strategic advisory firm focusing on retail-focused venture capital and private equity firms and their portfolio companies.
Prior to Rethink Retail, Ken was CEO of YOU Technology, which he sold in 2014 to Kroger (NYSE: KR). Ken built the business into the retail industry’s largest digital coupon network, delivering over 1 billion digital coupon downloads to over 20 million shoppers at over 10,000 stores nationwide. YOU Technology’s clients included Kroger, Safeway, Sears, ShopRite, Giant Eagle, FreshDirect, General Mills, P&G, Pepsi, Kraft, Unilever, and many others.
Prior to YOU Technology, Ken was Vice President, Loyalty at The Kroger Co., a $100 billion+ grocery retailer with over 2,500 stores, where he led loyalty programs, digital marketing, personalized marketing, pricing strategy, e-commerce, and customer insights and analytics. While at Kroger, Ken created the industry’s first digital coupon program in November 2007, launched the Kroger rewards loyalty program, re-launched Kroger’s consumer websites, and overhauled its $100 million personalized marketing program.
Ken has degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School. Ken lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and three daughters.
